CONTHARGOS X KANNAN °2022

This pregnancy is a combination of Conthargos and Kannan

Sire Conthargos is a grandson of Contender and Carthago Z and though his sports career ended to early due to an injury his offspring are taking the world by storm. Concona with Ben Maher, Conthinder with Andzrej Oplatek, Conchento PS with Luciana Diniz and Celine of Karen Polle are all competing at 1.60m Grand Prix level and come from the stallion’s first crops.

The dam of this pregnancy is Kamikase of Picobello Z. She is a young daughter of Kannan and Orlando van de Heffinck and she is the full sister of the approved stallion King Kong of Picobello Z. This stallion was a finalist at the World Breeding Jumping Championships in Lanaken as 5 and 6 year old. The dam is also a sister of the Olympic contender Romeo 88 who will compete in Tokyo with Harry Charles on Team GB and started his top level career with Jessica Springsteen. However it was with Darragh Kenny that Romeo scored massive results right up to 1.65m level, coming 2nd in the Rolex Top 10 Final and 2 in the GCL Super Cup in Prague. 

The story is even more impressive as the dam is a sister of Eric Lamaze’s Check Picobello Z, winner of the 4* Grand Prix in Wellington and 2nd in the 5* Grand Prix of Spruce Meadows. 

The granddam is Only Picobello Z who was a finalist at the World Breeding Jumping Championships in Lanaken. She is a daughter of Pleasure by Picobello, the Redefin Grand Prix winner who competed at 1.60m level with 4 different riders, including Peter Wylde and Eric van der Vleuten.
